Chukumba Ph.D. is an avid technocrat having worked in the information technology sector for over 13 years and with experience working for several large financial firms in their IT departments, such as the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Oppenheimer and the Prudential Insurance Company of America. He became ingrained in search engine related work as a professor at in the Penn State University Information Science and Technology department. After teaching at Penn State, Celestine O. Chukumba entered the private sector working for the New York SEM firm SendTraffic, Atrinsic NASDAQ:(NWMO) where his client list included Jango.com Music, EZ-Tracks.com and Columbia Sony BMG Books Division, Seamless.com.
He left Atrinsic to help a small venture backed boutique search engine marketing company in SoHo, New York City where he was a search engine optimization analyst, web analytics and paid search specialist for clients in verticals including finance, insurance, music, sports, fashion, cosmetics and health care. His clients included MTV and NBC’s – Allisports/”The Mountain Dew Tour”, Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley’s TotalGym and several other sites.
